Elopement Give-Away!!

Depending on who you ask, 2020 has been a year of variety. A year full of a variety of lessons. Lessons of pain. Lessons of letting go. Lessons of growth. Lessons of being present. Lessons of loss, and even lessons of gain. All people, regardless of race, sex, color, or creed have been impacted. What happens matters.

But how you choose to respond to what happens, matters even more.

As wedding professionals, we saw the immediate impact within our industry. And instead of throwing in the towel, wiping our hands of the many cancellations and the inevitable loss of income, a group of collaborators came together and decided to give away their talents.

A group of amazing individuals put together an Elopement Giveaway! (Take that COVID!).

Let’s Knot and Say We Did handcrafted a special and unique officiated ceremony. Luxe and Co Photography captured four hours of all the magical and special moments. Camila Ochoa provided her creative hair and make up mastery. Desert Raye added some desert vibrancy with her intricately designed floral. Golden Element gave life to customized stationary and Love Lee Bakes provided a cake so delicious, even your momma would be proud! Caitie, with Reverie Creative, grabbed video of all the magic and created a high-quality cinema masterpiece. And to bring it all together, Hatfield Custom Designs provided their own hand-crafted archway to tie the ascetics together.

The selected winners of our Elopement Giveaway went to Kahner and Drew, a beautiful couple who had been hit really hard this year in a variety of ways. Like many other couples, Kahner and Drew had planned on having a big wedding, only to have to adjust their long awaited plans due to COVID. In the middle of their planning, they found out that Drew’s dad had Stage 4 cancer and would have to undergo multiple, extensive surgeries. Their desire was to get married in Michigan and have both sets of parents witness their love on their special day. However, in March, Drew’s father passed away and all wedding plans were placed aside, unsure of how the future would transpire. To add to their grief, COVID struck their employment and they were laid off. With plans shattered, they decided to come out to Sierra Vista to see family. While out here, they decided to move out to the desert of Arizona and start fresh. Within a week, they packed up their things in Michigan and took off to the land of cacti and the most beautiful sunsets. They had no idea that while all of this was happening, a group of people who LOVE what they do were putting together something special for them!

Kahner and Drew said, “Winning this was an amazing blessing over all. I truly cannot describe how amazing and surreal this all is.”

Putting together this amazing event was the perfect way to end 2020.

It really proves that people can come together and make a difference, no matter what year it is. Thank you to all of the amazing collaborators that gave with their hearts and abilities. Thank you for all that you do and the difference you make in the world!
