Jenica and Matt wanted to elope in the beautiful Red Rocks of Page, Arizona. We got to know each other over video calls, since they lived out of state, and we enjoyed every minute of it! This fun + beautiful bride and groom bought one of our All-Inclusive Elopement Packages so that they could show up with peace, knowing everything about their wedding day was taken care of. We held the ceremony at Horseshoe Bend, one of the most gorgeous places on earth! Shelby took breathtaking photos and captured their wedding day in joy. Rich created a personal and unique ceremony that was all about their love for another. He weaved their story throughout the ceremony and made it a sacred + joyful experience for everyone.
A few things you should know if you’re thinking about eloping at Horseshoe Bend!
We offer all-inclusive packages that take care of EVERYTHING from Bridal Hair and Makeup to providing florals, officiant, photo, video, etc. Usually, we book hair and makeup artists to come directly to the hotel/air bnb so that the bride doesn’t really have to do ANYTHING the day of the wedding. Page is a VERY small town, so this is not an option. We use Aloha Hair for Bridal hair and makeup, and they are phenomenal! BUT the bride must go to the salon to get ready as Aloha Hair does not offer personal travel. Since Page is to tiny, this is typically a 3-4 minute drive! So not a huge issue!
Horseshoe Bend also requires a $300 wedding permit to do the ceremony on this sacred land.
Another thing we offer in our elopement packages is dinner reservations. As Page is very small, dinner options are very limited. But I think ultimately these are small sacrifices to elope somewhere so unique and beautiful!
Shelby’s goal as a your wedding + elopement photographer is to “capture moments so you can stay in them.” The love that you already have for another cannot be replicated and cannot be staged. She wants to capture the looks you give each other and is more of a documentary style photographer. She does prompt you and makes a really fun experience out of the entire time you have with her! But her purpose when taking photos is to make you feel comfortable to just BE YOU.
